Description

A user reports that it is not possible to comment on WordPress blogs when using the Tor Browser Bundle.

You fill out the form and hit the submit button, the page reloads as if it's updating the list of comments, but your comment is not included. The comment does not end up in a moderation queue either.

This could be any number of things. Barring more evidence and data, I blame aggressive spam filters. Other possibility includes the fact we disable 3rd party cookies, which some comment services like DisQus complain about (but seldom actually require).

Wouldn't the spam filter level vary from blog to blog, depending on whether or not they have some plugin installed? It might be 3rd party cookies getting in the way. How can I test that?

Edit->Preferences->Privacy. About the 5th checkbox down (Accept Third Party Cookies).

No luck with third party cookies either. Anything else I should try?

Turns out it's WP, not TBB. Akismet is popular spam plugin for WP, and it seems this plugin catches any comment written by someone over Tor.
