Once you start the Tor Browser Bundle on OSX, as in you click on the TBB .app, two applications get launched one after the other. The first is Vidalia, the second is Firefox with Tor Button.
If I close Firefox I am then unable to restart it without closing also vidalia and restarting the Bundle.

In the alfa version of the TBB when you close firefox a dialog appears asking "The Tor Enabled firefox was closed. What do you want to do?". The user can choose Reopen the browser, close Tor or Do nothing.
If do nothing is selected the browser can be relaunched from Plugins -> Browser Bundle Configuration -> Launch Browser.
Maybe these are a bit too many clicks, would it make sense to have a button in vidalia di relauch Tor?
The browser handling in alpha is a plugin. We could add the functionality to Vidalia so that any plugin could add a menu entry or a toolbar one, so that the TBB plugin can add a comfortable button.
OTOH, opening the browser is not something that you would do every second, so 3 clicks doesn't seem to be a lot in a case like this.
That being said, if more than one person thinks this is a bad design decision I will improve Vidalia's plugin engine capabilities. Although, if a patch is provided I'll gladly review and eventually merge it ;)
Vidalia stable doesn't have any way of doing that. Vidalia alpha has this plugin that tells you how to reopen the browser if you do not want to reopen it just after you've close it.
I don't think that the clicks are something that if someone is shown Vidalia for the first time and you say "Open the browser" the person would know where to go immediately. But then the idea of reopening the browser is new, so users aren't expecting anything.
So, yes, in those terms, Vidalia should have an easy flashy 1-click way of reopening the browser (or a menu entry of the form: Browser->Reopen).
