I'd like a tor-next repository

Description

I'm experimenting with a semiautomated process to build a semiregularly updated tor-next branch, containing the pending not-yet-merged tor updates.

I'm thinking that this doesn't belong in my personal repo, and doesn't belong in the official repo. Might a "tor-next.git" be a good place for that? If nobody objects, I request one.

Many thanks!

I think using a tor-next repository is a sane idea. My current thoughts are that you and arma have push access including rewriting history, it doesn't email out notifications on new commits (because that would get really confusing). Got an idea for a good description? If so, let me know and I'll make the repo.

Sounds good!

Got an idea for a good description?

"Unstable testing repository for proposed tor updates." Too long?

If so, let me know and I'll make the repo.

Actually, let's hold off just a little while in case weasel objects. He said "Hm. tor-next", and I don't know whether that means he has reservations. If he thinks this is a bad idea, I'd like to hear his reasons before we go ahead and do it. After all, it's not urgent: There will always be more future.

ugh, sorry for that typo fail. "The description is not too long."

all done. Sorry for the delay, I wasn't around for the weekend. I added a "frequently rebased" to the description. Reopen if it needs more
