The Emirates Telecommunications Corporation, also known as Etisalat, started blocking Tor using DPI on June 25 2012. It seems they are doing something similar to Ethiopia (#6045) and Kazakhstan (#6140), but we should figure out how these cases are different.

I assume Tor works there too then. Somebody should actually check it though.

(Installing the deb might be the easiest way to check. There are no 0.2.3 TBBs and I don't know when there will be any.)

Tor will not work for .et (if bridge answer with the same sever hello, etc), it's matter only server side answer not client side. UAE likely more .et, they drops server hello.

One user confirmed that Tor works in UAE. The same user also reported that the three bridges in our Ethiopia blog post have been blocked. What's different in
