Vidalia Bundle Uninstaller Version 0.1.2.19-0.0.16 Triggers Microsoft's Error Reporter!
When you uninstall the Vidalia Bundle 0.1.2.19-0.0.16, It misses the following files: (Tested using: Piriform's CCleaner)
Files
Temporary files: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Temp~nsu.tmp
(Inside this folder is the Vidalia Bundle Uninstaller, the uninstaller should be stored locally not just in temporary storage!)
Registry Keys:
Start-up: My Computer\HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Note: HKCU=HKEY_CURRENT_USER
If it's unistalled and tries to run at start-up it gives a Windows Error Reporting Message for Tor!
I didn't send the report, hoping you will fix this problem! The report included my computer's system information (OS, ect...) and a copy of Tor at the time the error occurred (so they can see the state of it Ex: damaged, ect...). Though a dump file was not made.
If you are having this same problem and cannot wait for them to fix it follow the below instructions: 1.Click on the start menu, click run 2.At the prompt type: msconfig 3.Click the Startup Tab 4.In the startup items column look for Vidalia 5.Uncheck the box, click apply then OK 6.Restart your computer for the changes to take effect!
You can manually delete the file and registry key too!
For the registry key: 1.Click on the start menu, click run 2.At the prompt type: regedit 3.Before making ANY changes, Back-up (File, Export...) 4.Following the above address delete Vidalia's Value DANGER: deleting the whole key will make your startup items invalid!!!
For the file: 1.Use the above address to delete the folder (the files inside will be deleted automatically!) 2.Using Window's Disk Cleaner would work also!!!
