Description

Updated Torbutton to 1.2.0rc2 (8 Jun 2008) and immediately links in a local html file
I use to get to places on our corporate network stopped working. Right-clicking on a link and specifying
'open in new tab' or 'open in new window' opened the tab, but the page was not loaded.
I disabled Torbutton and proper functionality returned. (Except, of course, for Torbutton!)
This is experienced by me on Firefox 2.0.0.14 running under WindowsXP. I am running Privoxy 3.0.6 for Windows,
then tor v0.1.2.19.
I narrowed it down to Torbutton by disabling ALL OTHER EXTENSIONS. The errant behavior correlated
directly with Torbutton extension being enabled. (Firefox was shut down and restarted in between
each test.) This behavior is corroborated by user feedback on the Firefox page for Torbutton:
addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2275
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thanks for a great product. I look forward to
the repaired version and future enhancements!

Note that this behavior occurs whether or not Torbutton is activated (i.e. local links are broken even with "Tor disabled" being displayed.) This was not clear in my orginal post. This behavior has also been corroborated on the mozilla addons site. Thanks.

flyspray2trac: bug closed.
For file urls, this behavior is fixed in 1.2.0rc3 in Non-Tor usage. For security reasons, it is not safe to use file urls in Tor usage.
