Description

Ubuntu 8.04 AMD64
Firefox 3.0
Torbutton 1.2.0rc4 (also tried with 1.2.0rc1)
All other addons disabled.

I have Torbutton as text in status bar and it's enabled (1), I close Firefox and start it again (2), once again I close Firefox and start it again (3)

  2. http://img74.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screenshot1ed9.png
  3. http://img172.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screenshot2ka6.png

This happens when I have Visual Effects set to Normal in Ubuntu, it does NOT happen when it's set to None. When Torbutton is disabled (as in Firefox not using Tor, not that the addon itself is disabled) it doesn't happen either.

looks like the same problem as bug #747
http://bugs.noreply.org/flyspray/index.php?do=details&id=747

Have you tried to unset resizes window size to a multiple of 50px preference ?

by the way, we're at least two people (probably more) to be confused by that behaviour. may be an entry in the faq would be helpful.
