Visited non-https links do not become purple when HTTPS Everywhere redirects

If you visit a non-https link, such as <a href="">Link</a>, it will not turn purple (visited css style) because HTTPS Everywhere redirects to

What is excepted is the same behavior as with <a href="">Link</a>, that is, the link is purple.

Is this possible to fix? In Firefox's history, all I can see is with https, which is good, but I guess that's why the non-https links do not change color.

Fixing this will probably require some fancy Firefox hackery, but we would consider patches that do that!
