Description

This may be related to some other reports, but I couldn't find anything quite the same so:

Since I updated to FF3.0, Torbutton is periodically resetting some of the Firefox privacy settings.

Specifically disabling or updating Torbutton (and possibly changing preferences or other activities) resets:

"Remember what I enter in forms and the search bar" to checked
"Remember what I've downloaded" to checked
"Accept third-party cookies" to checked
"Keep until" (under Cookies) to "until they expire"
"Remember passwords for sites" to checked
network.http.sendRefererHeader in about:config

It may affect other settings as well, but these are the ones I noticed.
It's rather annoying, but doesn't cause any serious problems.
Thanks for the extension.

These settings during Tor usage are governed by various settings in the Tor preference window.

Torbutton should be remembering your preferences for most of these (except the cookie lifetime policy ones. For
sanity reasons, both Tor and Non-Tor cookie lifetime settings are covered entirely by the 'Cookies' settings pane
in Torbutton Security Preferences).

If Torbutton fails to remember your values for any of these preferences for Non-Tor, then that is a bug. Otherwise,
this is not a bug. I am going to close this. Please re-file with any preferences that are not properly remembered.

flyspray2trac: bug closed.
As of 1.2.0rc3 and later, Torbutton remembers Non-Tor values of these prefs and restores them.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
