So far, we've not bothered spoofing DPI because there does not seem to be a large amount of variability. We should perhaps study this (#6119?) and see if it's actually true. Here's a simple JS-based test:

I actually think we should dup this the other way, for two reasons:

  1. This ticket was about investigation. I feel like we've done that and #13875 has found a specific issue.
  2. #13875 has way more details and is quite specific in terms of the issue and related problems.
