Description

Something that will greatly help get people to relay for Tor is implementing UPNP support. I myself would relay if UPNP support were added. I am stuck behind a router that I have no control over... but it supports UPNP.

This could benefit the Tor network.

The Vidalia controller already has UPnP support in it. Click on "Setup Relaying",
and look at the bottom of the window for the "Attempt to automatically configure
port forwarding" checkbox. (Make sure you're running a recent Vidalia.)

We figured putting that sort of thing into Vidalia made more sense than putting
it into Tor. Vidalia ships in both the Windows and OSX bundles. (That does mean
that headless linux servers will have a harder time making use of it, but we
assume that people in that situation have control over their firewall or are
otherwise smart enough to handle it.)
