Hi Yan,

Some of these might be similar to the Cloudfront bugs you were squashing before; I'm not sure.

We didn't get fixes for these into 3.2, so kicking this can down the road.

No, it is not fixed in 3.2.3.
1) No redirection http://maps.yandex.ru/ on https://maps.yandex.ru/
2) http://newmoscow.yandex.ru/ still redirects to http://maps.yandex.ru/ instead https://maps.yandex.ru/
3) Not fixed.
4) Not fixed.

I just fixed (1) in my branch by taking maps (and api-maps) out of the exclusions in the Yandex rule but didn't fix the others at this time because:

(2) happens regardless of https-everywhere
(3) I couldn't play the files linked even when https-everywhere was disabled in Firefox
(4) This is hard to test without making a Yandex account. Before I do that, could you try uploading files with https-everywhere disabled and check if that works?

Thanks,
Yan

1) Thanks!
2) Ok, i understand.

3) Firefox with new profile - audio and video play. Firefox with new profile + HTTPS Everywhere - audio and video don't play. How can I help fix it?
4) I disable rule for Yandex, and upload file works fine.

I think I fixed 3 and maybe 4 (not tested) in my branch: https://github.com/diracdeltas/https-everywhere. Could you please test it and see if the two bugs are fixed?

If you have a clone of the repository already, you can just change Yandex.xml to this version and then rebuild the extension: https://github.com/diracdeltas/https-everywhere/blob/ae95f46fe63108864a0a0eb65fe814ec175a1fde/src/chrome/content/rules/Yandex.xml

If you don't, the steps are:

  1. Run "git clone https://github.com/diracdeltas/https-everywhere.git"
  2. Follow the instructions at https://github.com/diracdeltas/https-everywhere/blob/master/README.md to build the extension and load it into Firefox.

Thanks,
Yan
