First of all, excuse me for requesting a re-open for the previous bug i filed, i did that accidentally.

I can't find any easy way to contact you so i'm opening another bug just
to ensure that you want Torbutton removed from the Babelzilla database.

It's obvious that you have forgot about the forum we host for Torbutton at
and you could have used to notify your translators there but that's ok.

I've informed the translators that had registered there for Torbutton and i hope
they will join your own translation project.

I could also act as an intermediate between you and babelzilla if you think that the structure is too complicated there.

Yeah, we want the babelzilla stuff closed. It is too difficult to use and hard to integrate with our
translation process.

Not sure what you are proposing with intermediating with babelzilla.. Are you offering to transfer
strings translated there into the new translation portal?

yep, exactly what you said. i could maintain the babelzilla part since you think it's not that easy and transfer the translations to your portal. Perhaps we could also help with the translation of non-TorButton parts of the bundle (though i can not guarantee that but there's a good chance at least some translators might help).

Ok. So we still have a lot of logistical issues to overcome. The site is really difficult
to deal with, even if someone else is doing it..

One major barrier is that it didn't even seem possible to transfer/add adminship for an addon
via their interface. Basically everything we needed to do required mailing/messaging the site admins.
Can you even have multiple admins on an addon? It's not clear to us.

Once we vault that hurdle, maintaining a current presence there is going to require you downloading
new torbutton updates, submitting them there, getting the strings out, merging them into pootle,
and dealing with+resolving conflicts for a bunch of languages you likely do not speak...

Are you sure this is something you're going to want to do regularly? And are you really convinced
its better than just pointing their users to our portal? If you were to ever tire of the job,
disappear, or just go away for a while, we're going to be right back here, or potentially worse
because we may have completely lost admin control by that point.. Then more work will be lost.

We could take this one step at a time though: You could try to extract the current strings from
babelzilla that aren't in pootle. That would be really helpful, actually.

I think you should be able to do this with your regular babelzilla and pootle accounts, right?

I can understand your concerns about my credibility here.
As i said before, i already pointed the translators to your portal but i doubt if
more than a couple would be willing to join. The main reason for that is that babelzilla
makes it much easier for translators since they have an automated system for updates, pretty
simple processes for translating and a forum for each extension so they can report problems
and/or communicate with each other and the extension admins. Personaly, i maintain the
translations for 60+ extensions there for more than two years now, something i couldn't do
if i had to use 60+ different translation portals and possibly monitor 60+ mailing lists.

I was neither suggesting that you should abandon your portal in favor of babelzilla,
nor giving me administrative rights on your pootle portal.

I'd deal with babelzilla so you wouldn't have to do so AT ALL and the only logistics problem
would be the merging of the strings in the po files (providing me with a pre-release xpi is not
something worth mentioning from logistics point of view).

Anyway, I'll just try to provide again the translation for my language asap via pootle and stick to that.
Sorry for waisting your time.

oops, sorry, i didn't noticed your latest post earlier.
I guess i can try though i think that the latest xpi you submitted there messed up the translations.

Too late, the extension has been removed from the babelzilla database. I hope more translators will come your way...

flyspray2trac: bug closed.
Maybe if babelzilla becomes a little more usable we can figure something out then.
