We should let David Fifield (dcf) commit to the website, since he's
been making PT TBB updates, and he should be able to bump the versions
when Roger isn't around to do it.

I've sent David instructions for how to create an htdigest output, which
he should I guess sign and get it to Sebastian or Andrew secretly.

we also need an email address that svn-mail appears to originate from. I'll see how the svn-accounts instructions can be updated

"David Fifield <dcf@…>" seems like a clear choice here.

I'm aware of this ticket and have seen the htdigest instructions. I won't be able to act on this ticket until at least a few days hence. I'll update then ticket when I do.

I've sent the digest to Andrew and Sebastian.

I tried committing to website for the first time today, and it's not working.

$ svn commit --username dcf -F svn-commit.tmp
Authentication realm: <https://svn.torproject.org:443> Tor subversion repository
Password for 'dcf':
Authentication realm: <https://svn.torproject.org:443> Tor subversion repository
Username:

I re-ran the htdigest output to double-check that the digest I sent was correct.

What did you commit to?

the url should be https://svn.torproject.org/svn/website/trunk/

comment:9 Changed 6 years ago by arma

Is https://svn.torproject.org/access-policy still accurate here? It would seem that dcf needs to be added to this file. Unless this file is no longer relevant? In which case we should stop linking to it from svn.torproject.org. :)

I've reloaded the svn access configs to see if this helps.

the access-policy file is now different, so that's a good sign. David, you should try again.
