Interesting! It looks at first glance like it's geared for many-threaded deployments. That's cool, but there's a bunch of refactoring you'd need to do in Tor to make it take advantage of a highly multithreaded event loop.

I've got no plans to do this like this. If we moved to another backend, it might be libphenom, or libuv, or who knows, maybe even tokio-core. But anything we did here is likely to start with investigation and refactoring, not with a choice of library.

Also, libphenom doesn't seem to support windows. So probably it wouldn't be the one for us.
