Binary packages

Debian packages have been uploaded to the set of official unstable (sid) and testing (etch) Debian packages. If you are running stable or Ubuntu, you must first add some lines to /etc/apt/sources.list. SeeTor packages on Debian, which has the details.

FreeBSD: cd /usr/ports/security/tor && make install clean

OpenBSD: pkg_add tor or cd /usr/ports/net/tor && make && make install (prefer the first one to get directly a safe binary package)

NetBSD: cd /usr/pkgsrc/net/tor && make install

Gentoo: emerge tor
