rework the hardware choices, status bits, and clarify what we're trying to do with this

3 Torouter is the codename for a hardware ([http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0028ACYEK Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH (US)] / [http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0028ACYEK Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH (UK)] / [http://www.amazon.de/dp/B0028ACYEK Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH (DE)] / [http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/buffalo/wzr-hp-g300h OpenWRT wiki]) project using OpenWRT; it promises to provide a platform to provide an easy to setup Tor bridge as well as an optional wireless access point with all traffic transparently routed through Tor. Other possible hardware is listed on the [http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/start OpenWRT wiki] and any considered hardware should meet or exceed the CPU and memory specifications of the [http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/buffalo/wzr-hp-g300h Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH].  Someone has suggested [http://www.ubnt.com/ Ubiquiti Networks] gear.  Looking into this hardware as well.  Even based on openwrt with the open source atheros wifi card.
    4
5 Another platform in development is the [http://excito.com/ Excito B3].  The Excito runs Debian ARM and already integrates with Tor's Debian build infrastructure. Excito lists the full [http://excito.com/bubba/products/technical-specifications.html technical specifications] of their hardware. A volunteer worked out how to get Tor running and working on the Excito platform, see [http://isprins.blogspot.com/2010/12/excito-b3-and-internet-freedom.html his writeup].  Two excito B3's have been acting as bridges for over a month now without a problem.  Excito even offers up tor-alpha debs.
3Torouter is the codename for a hardware project to provide an easy to setup Tor bridge or relay.  It could also act as an optional wireless access point with all traffic transparently routed through Tor. The end goal is to have an easy to use system that is a bridge or relay by default, functions as your Internet router, and is under $120. '''The [wiki:TheOnionRouter/Torouter Torouter] project is alpha software'''. It has received [http://www.technologyreview.com/web/26981/?mod=chfeatured some] [http://www.heise.de/tr/artikel/Tor-im-Router-1159154.html press] but it is far from a well tested project. It is highly experimental and while seemingly functional, we have lots of bugs to iron out and features to implement. Please consider helping - we're open about our development process and we'd love for you to jump in and hack; there's a lot to do!
