Week at a glance

(somebody should update this to be about Montreal, not Amsterdam, please.)

  • Wed, 22 Mar: Team members arrive (teams decide who to invite)
  • Thu, 23 Mar: Teams meet to work on mapping and other issues; general meeting invitees arrive; group dinner in the evening
  • Fri, 24 Mar: Plenary session for strategic planning; discussion on how we want Tor to grow and what resources we’ll need to get there; Tor board open meeting
    • 10.00 Opening session
    • 10.45 Strategic Planning sessions #1: What does the future look like?
    • 12.30 Lunch
    • 13.30 Strategic Planning sessions #2: What could Tor look like?
    • 15.00 Break
    • 15.30 Open Board Meeting
    • 16.30 Adjourn
  • Sat, 25 Mar: Structured agenda with specific tracks; this part of the meeting is open to anyone in the public with advance notice (registration required)
  • Sun, 26 Mar: Everyone heads home or hangs around for hacking
  • Mon, 27 Mar: Everyone heads home or hangs around for more hacking

Note that this schedule is a bit different than agendas of the past. We’re responding to feedback requesting more focused work and planning. While we enjoy working with the general public, there’s so much going on at Tor meetings, we’re limiting involvement to invited guests and those who have told us in advance of their plans to join us on the open day. Tor Project members wanting even more open public involvement are invited to host something on the 27th or 28th or to hold or attend hacking events separate from the Tor meeting throughout the year. Please note also that this is an experiment. If we feel like this agenda isn’t working, we can tweak it before the next meeting in the fall.
