What is the Tor Meeting?

A meeting of the core Tor team, developers, volunteers and invited guests in Rome, to discuss plans, milestones, deadlines, and other important matters.

Week at a glance

  • March 11: meeting invitees arrive; sometimes group dinner in the evening.
  • March 12: Tor open board meeting; structured agenda with specific tracks.
  • March 13: structured agenda with specific tracks.
  • March 14: self-organizing open space: working and hacking sessions.
  • March 15: self-organizing open space: working and hacking sessions; later everyone heads home.


The event venue will be located in The Rome Life Hotel.


We will have three separate hotels for this meeting. They're all located on the same block. They are The Rome Life, The Rome Times, and The Rome Glam Hotels.

Local Medical Resources

Pharmacy / Chemist

There's a pharmacy less than 100m from the hotel on Via Milano 54 (Farmacia Quirinale di Maria Cristina Nisi). It's open daily from 8:30am to 7:30pm, and between 8:30am to 1pm on Saturdays. It's closed on Sundays.


Interesting local stuff

Groceries / Supermarket

Porta Portese is Rome's biggest flea market, selling everything from vegetables, antiques to clothes ( It's only open on Sundays from 6am to 2pm. If you go, prepare to bargain.

National Museum of Castel St. Angelo 15 euros 9am - 7:30pm Beatrice Cenci was beheaded at Castel St. Angelo & legend has it that her ghost walks on the bridge every year on 11th September.
