How to create a new newsletter

If you have familiarity with git and lektor, to create a new newsletter you just have to create a new folder in content/archive/. Please consider that the way you name this folder will be part of the url of the newsletter you are about to publish.

This is a newsletter url:

https://newsletter.torproject.org/archive/2018-06-28-censorship-circumvention-trackers-onion-protections-new-releases-events

The folder name for this newsletter was:

censorship-circumvention-trackers-onion-protections-new-releases-events

Once you have created a folder, you need to create a contents.lr file inside and another folder called text.

contents.lr will contain the newsletter formatted in html. Ex:

_model: post
---
_template: newsletter.html
---
author: steph@torproject.org
---
pub_date: 2018-06-28
---
title: Breaking Through Censorship Barriers, Even When Tor Is Blocked
---
html_body:

<table align="center" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="devicewidth" width="650">
<tbody>

...

Within the text folder we will have to create another contents.lr file. This will contain the text version of the newsletter, formatted as markdown.

Ex:

_model: post
---
_template: post.html
---
author: steph@torproject.org
---
pub_date: 2018-06-28
---
title: Breaking Through Censorship Barriers, Even When Tor Is Blocked
---
body:

## Breaking Through Censorship Barriers, Even When Tor Is Blocked ##

...
