Welcome to the Applications Team page. The Applications Team is a group of Tor people who are working on different user facing products: Tor Browser, Ricochet, Tor Messenger, Tor Mail, Orfox etc.
There are currently four other teams in Tor: the Metrics Team a group of Tor people who care about measuring and analyzing things in the public Tor network, the Network Team works on Core Tor and other backend stuff, the Community Team focuses on the non-technical aspects of growing a healthy Tor community, and the UX team, which we just started and is to help different dev teams apply direct user feedback into their products.
The people who are part of this team is anyone working on the projects described above. We're not listing names here to keep the team open to everyone. This team also has the participation of user support and localization team members and members of other teams that gives supports to the Application team efforts.
You're on the team if you're participating in discussions and development, and you're not part of the team anymore if you decide you want to move on (which we hope won't happen).
Applications team synchronous medium of communication is IRC meetings that happen every first Tuesdays at 19 UTC in #tor-project on OFTC.
If you want to reach someone from the team between these meetings to ask a development-related question, just go to #tor-dev, and somebody from the team might either be around or appear later and get back to you.
Applications team asynchronous medium of communication is the tor-dev@ mailing list. This list is public in the sense that anyone can subscribe, send emails and read archives. Feel free to subscribe and just listen if you want, and feel free to post if you have a question that you think is on topic.
